Single Engine Piston Rating

What is a single engine piston (SEP) rating?

The Single Engine Piston Rating allows you to fly aircraft such as our Cessna 172. We offer dual flights as required to revalidate your SEP, or if your rating is lapsed we offer a renewal course.

For commercial pilots who wish to add an SEP rating to their licence we run a specific course for this purpose. The course consists of a minimum of 5 hours of dual flight instruction and 5 hours of theoretical knowledge. At the end of the course you will complete a Skills Test with an Irish Aviation Authority Examiner.
